Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing, and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in the area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 6 to 10 years of software engineering or related experience.

CGBU 5G Development

Position Description:

As a senior member of the software engineering division, you will use knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, testing, debugging, and designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture. Work involves problem solving, understanding, and applying company policies and processes. Gaining competence in own area and acquiring a higher-level understanding of roles, processes, and procedures. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 6-10 years of previous software engineering or related experience.

Team: This team is responsible for developing 5G NRF/NSSF/NEF/APIGW products for Oracle Communications Global Business Unit.

Responsibilities: Design, development, testing, and automation of Telecom application software using primarily Java technology.

Qualifications: Strong background in software development, test processes, and product release procedures. Industrial knowledge about related domains

Experience:

• Experience or knowledge of architecture and framework design for commercial products or systems.

• (6-10 years) years of hands-on development in one of the following technical areas is required:

• Experience with J2EE technologies.

• Experience with Telecom/Networking protocols or networking software development.

• Experience with real-time and high-performance application development. Experience in developing concurrent and high throughput software.

• Experience in developing highly available/redundant software.

• Experience with Java and System performance tuning and profiling tools.

• Experience in Linux or UNIX environment development.

• Experience in script programmings such as Bash, Perl, and Python. Experience, knowledge, or skills in the following technical areas is preferred:

• Experience with in-memory or MySQL databases. Strong programming skills in object-oriented programming languages
