Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities

• Create and integrate solutions into Oracle’s Web Platform built on Oracle technologies such as Oracle Content Management (OCM), WebCenter Sites (WCS), Endeca, Marketing Cloud, participating in the entire application life cycle

• Liaison with web publisher, IT organization and management to gather business pain points, prioritize, share industry best practices, recommend and create appropriate solutions and implementation plans

• Determine and document business requirements for publishing and customer facing web sites.

• Perform user acceptance testing, report status, track defects to closure and provide sign offs

• Provide production rollout support and perform post-go live testing and validation activities

• Drive fundamental architecture and platform enhancements with various IT and legal organizations using proof of concepts, mock-ups, and presentations

• Provide technical thought leadership and lead the efforts to design, develop and implement business critical solutions for oracle.com web platform

Preferred Requirements Include:

• 4-6 years of proven developer expertise in extremely complex internal systems.

• Experience with methodologies including Content Management, Requirements Analysis, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, QA and Project Management, Business Systems, rollout strategy and release management, Knowledge Management, and Production support process.

• Expertise in managing translation solution for website localisation is a plus

• Good understanding of Cache (CDN) like Akamai is a plus

• Good understanding of taxonomy is a plus

• Exposure to dynamic content

• Very good exposure to REST API

• Exposure to webhooks

• Experience in Jira, ALM and Confluence

• Good understanding of Software development life cycle process

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer science or relavant degree
