Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

+3 years of Experience

Automation Skills:

• Expertise in Automation ( Python, Perl, GIT tool)

OS/Features

• Intermediate Experience on Virtualisation (KVM/Vmware) and Linux

• Well versed with Cloud Technologies (PAAS, IAAS)-

• Good understanding on the implementation of Open Stack

• Good grasp of kubernates/openswitch

Protocols

• Protocols such as : FC, IB, NFS, iSCSI, SMB

Certifications(Good to have):

• Networking Certified (CCNA /CCNP Certified)

• Cloud Certified : Preferably Oracle Cloud Certified/AWS certification

• Certified Linux Administration

• Certified Microsoft Administration

Test/Process expertise:

• Well versed with Sprint models

• Experience leading Projects, writing Test plans and Test Cases for new features.

• System Testing/regression/ workloads/customer use cases

Tools :

• vdbench, IO meter

Databse:

• MySql, Oracledb ( added value)

As an Engineer of the SVOS org, there will be an oppurtunity to :

Design, develop, test cases and automate test cases for Oracle Linux, Oracle Virtualization, Storage ( ZFS – Zetabyte file system) , Network ( Cisco Switches) and the ” Oracle Private Cloud Appliance”, “Oracle Private Cloud at Customer” , which is an integrated infrastructure system engineered to enable rapid deployment of converged compute, network, and storage technologies for hosting applications or workloads on a guest OS.

In addition active review of Test plans, Customer like config setups, Boudary and Performance testing.

All test process will adhere to the agile mode of testing
