Job Description

The product offers comprehensive end-to-end solution to consolide and/or migrate Oracle Database, addressing numerous use-cases & requirements of customer including moving database to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Engineered systems (Exadata) with risk-free and accurately analyzed plan by eliminating the need for human guess work. Adaptive Analysis is based on real-time work-loads and usages. It has a user-friendly and rich front-end to accomodate detailed and drill-down capable views to offer exhaustive screens capturing database resource utilizations, bottlenecks, heatmaps capturing database usage metrics (including CPU, Memory, IOPS, storage, etc.) and resource constraints. As part of the back-end, the product has a complex database-warehouse integration to support storage of enormous history of information based on which indepth analysis can be carried out to provide database consolidation / migration analysis and plan. Daily ETL job is designed to ensure the adaptive analysis is always done using latest performance & usage data. Advisor Finding report helps identify conflicts based on workload characteristics, Exadata suitability & gives Storage/ Platform advice, including impact of compression on I/O & Storage, impact of I/O offloading & Flash cache – helpful to identigfy bottlenecks. The job requires skills with in-depth Oracle Database knowledge – especially related to analyzing database sizing requirements and designing solutons addressing complex consolidation and migration scenarios & use-cases. Besides database knowledge, the candidate should have exceptional SQL and PL/SQL experience. Additionally, programming knowledge developing J2EE application. Understanding of cloud technologies will be added advatage.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
