Role: O365 /Exchange Messaging Engineer
Duration: Full time
The Exchange Messaging Engineer operates and maintains the Microsoft Exchange environment and provides technical support to clients and integrated IT systems. The successful engineer will have a broad technical IT skillset allowing for proficient planning and troubleshooting of the critical Enterprise messaging systems.
Requirements:
O365 Certifications
4+ Years of experience in supporting O365
6+ years hands-on and SME on Windows & Exchange platform
Any other Windows Certifications is a bonus
Skills and Experience:
Experience/knowledge on different types of Migration like tenant to tenant, or from a different exchange organization to Office 365.
Exchange On-premises Knowledge (2010/2016 Exchange servers)
Mail Flow and Routing concepts, connectors, Transport rules.
Mail relay concepts to relay emails from applications.
Spam filters like EOP, Symantec Messaging Gateway, Mimecast..
Message Tracking both on On-premises and Office 365.
PowerShell scripting knowledge.
Good knowledge on Exchange commands.
Security and compliance policies (Spam polices, Threat and Alert policies) & Retention Policies & eDiscovery search
Good knowledge on Mail Routing concepts.
Experience with additional O365 related functions, for example: PowerApps, Intune, Delve, B2B or cloud infrastructure.
Experience with O365 integration with non-Microsoft Security solutions (for example Symantic Messaging Gateway)
Working in an Exchange hybrid environment with Office 365 or Exchange or other email platforms.
Microsoft Messaging Online: Office 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft unified Communications/VOIP
Responsible for all components of Office 365 including One Drive, Yammer and SharePoint.
Experience Office 365 migrations and Hybrid Solutions
Document operational processes and procedures.
Provide level 2/3 support to triage and troubleshoot incidents.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Ability to work independently and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Desire to learn new skills, take on new tasks as needed, and work as part of a team.
Strong communications skills, verbal, written, and presentation.
