POSITION : FELLOW/ ASSOCIATE FELLOW

Location : New Delhi

Pahle India Foundation headed by Chairman, Dr Rajiv Kumar, former Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, is seeking applications from qualified ECONOMISTS with experience in policy research for a full-time ‘Fellow’ (or Associate Fellow) position at its New Delhi office. The candidate should be a macro-economist willing to work across verticals such as financial sector (capital markets, banking, sustainable financing and insurance), domestic trade (including retail and e-Commerce), digital economy, MSMEs and must be adept at applied economic research and statistical analysis through use of basic econometric techniques when required. The candidate must be able to think independently and creatively to explore new policy angles for research, reforms and development in the area of different sectors. 

Eligibility – Essential – PG in Economics or equivalent degree with minimum 8 years ( 4 for Associate Fellow position) research experience * ; Preferred – PhD from a reputed university

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

–      Should be able to design project proposals and Lead and Independently manage Research Projects

–      Should be oriented for applied policy research

–      Should be able to Identify and search for various data sources, analyse and interpret data

–      Should be adept at using statistical analysis and econometric techniques when required.

–      Should be able to think independently and have effective writing skills

–      Should be proficient in making presentations, writing proposals, report writing and high quality analytical work delivering high accuracy in all work products 

–      Should be a team player, highly motivated, particular about observing deadlines and prepared for outcome-based performance evaluation

–      Should be able to supervise research assistant(s)/ associates (s) for any relevant study

–      Should have good publication record including analytical articles, research outputs, project reports

–      Should be able to organise seminars, discussions or consultations

Remuneration – as per industry norms and dependent on skill sets
