Pahlé India Foundation (PIF) Looking For Senior Research Associate / Research Associate – Tourism at Itanagar Tehsil, Arunachal Pradesh, Full Time

Pahle India Foundation (PIF) headed by Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar, former Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog is inviting applications for the position of ‘Senior Research Associate / Research Associate – Tourism. The researchers will play a critical role in leading and executing policy research, stakeholder consultations, liasoning with Government departments, and project implementation aimed at promoting sustainable tourism across target geographies. This role will require deep policy understanding, strong research capabilities, and the ability to work closely with government stakeholders, tourism bodies, and industry players.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in tourism, economics, public policy, or development studies, with proven experience in policy advisory, government engagement, and field-based research.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

●     Familiarity with and knowledge of tourism as an industry as well as various tourism models.

●     Strong research, analytical and strategic planning skills with attention to detail.

●     Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

●     Should be good at policy-oriented research.

●     Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective documentation and presentation.

●     Strong understanding of ecological and cultural sensitivities, particularly in indigenous or ecologically fragile regions.

●     Ability to think independently

●     Should be a team player, highly motivated, particular about observing deadlines and prepared for outcome-based performance evaluation.

●     Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, with experience working alongside government agencies, private sector partners, and local communities.

Educational Qualifications:

We require candidates who have a Master’s Degree or PhD in  tourism, economics, public policy, or development studies with 3 to 4 years of experience of working in the tourism space.

Remuneration

As per industry norms and dependent on skill sets.
