Job Description Summary: The position requires a candidate with a very broad knowledge of enterprise infrastructure services, networking, CDN, DNS, load balancing infrastructure and applications This is a fast paced very fluid environment, so a qualified applicant needs to be able to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results. • Ability to stay organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting requirements, dates, and priorities • Ability to coordinate and communicate with teams in multiple time zones globally • fast self-directed learner able to pick up and master new technologies on the fly Meet the Team This team is responsible for architecture, deployment, and support of external & internal infrastructure services such as load balancers, DNS, CDN, and global load balancing. The team is responsible for level 3 troubleshooting of site issues.

Job Description:
Your way to impact

This role will require you to work with domain teams and business partners to provide solutions for multiple environments where we provide load balancing infrastructure support, as part of the Edge Services team. You will have an opportunity to work with other engineering domains and business units to build and support platforms that serve PayPal’s customer and merchant needs.

Your day to day

Operational support of load balancer infrastructure

SSL Certificate hosting and renewal for L7 VIPs and infrastructure

Infrastructure builds for data center and cloud

Monitoring infrastructure and hosted services

Infrastructure hardening following policy

Security Mitigation

Project delivery and support

Troubleshoot complex issues.

Follow strict Change Management processes.

What do you need to bring

Ability to stay organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting requirements, dates, and priorities

Ability to coordinate and communicate with teams in multiple time zones globally

Act as technology leader within team and across teams running a project

fast paced self-directed learner able to pick up and master new technologies on the fly

meet 2 of the 3 requirements below

5+ years DNS administration experience

Hands on experience administering enterprise BIND or Infoblox instances, thorough operational understanding of DNS-sec, DNS troubleshooting and monitoring experience

5+ years hands on load balancer administration experience

3+ years hands on CDN administration experience

5+ years hands on Linux system administration experience

Python/GO/Shell scripting experience, automation tooling, consuming REST APIs

Experience using configuration management tools such as puppet/ansible/chef/terraform to manage large fleet of servers

Enterprise monitoring experience such as Logic Monitor, Zabbix, icinga, or Nagios

Experience with Splunk queries and creating dashboard.

Experience in 24×7 support role with on call rotation
