Pega Security Operations team is a small but strong team deployed across the globe. The team is using the latest technologies to build robust security solutions to Detect, Deter, and Defend the corporate environment. The current team is made up of strong Red and Blue team resources and we are looking to add additional talent.

What You’ll Do at Pega:

• Administer and manage Splunk environment, reviewing alertsdetections, finding event correlations, and analyzing anomalies through log review

• Administer and manage endpoint protection systems to protect the enterprise

• Administer vulnerability scanning and patch management program from detection through remediation

• Proactively scan, analyze, and review security anomaliesalerts

• Be a point of contact for end-users to answerprovide knowledge on security-related questions either directly or by responding to security-related support tickets

• Evaluate and advise on technologies to secure the enterprise.

Who You Are:

You are ready to take your security analysis skills to the next level by becoming the subject matter expert in multiple security technologies as you support a growing security team to drive and implement security policies and procedures within Pegas global organization. Using the latest tools and technologies, you will enhance your skills to support thousands of hosts while securing critical information within a virtual environment.

• 5-7+ years of SIEM experience, prefer Splunk experience

• 5-7+ years of experience using endpoint protection tools, CrowdStrike preferred

• Solid knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux systems

• 5-7+ years of vulnerability scanning experience with expertise in providing remediation details and impact on systemsenvironments TenableNessus experience preferred

• Strong understanding of networking: port protocols, IP Addressing, firewalls, IDS, IPS, and other security technologies

• Robust knowledge of infrastructure and configuration of environments to support security tools

• Lead the team in reviewing, triaging, managing, and responding to security-related user tickets. Will pick up tickets that are missed by others

• Solid understanding of common application vulnerabilities, networking protocols, and remediation best practices

• Strong knowledge of security vulnerabilities and remediation as listed in standards like OWASP, SANS, etc.

• Clear and concise written and verbal communications skills; ability to communicate with team members and peers effectively. Ability to discuss details on a technical level as well as provide management summaries

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with peers in other departments to enable cross-functional relationships (operations, service delivery and tech)

What You’ve Accomplished:

• Industry-standard security certification(s) (e.g. Security+, GSEC, CISSP)

• Fluency in common web technologies and protocols, including HTTP(S), SAML, SOA, SOAP, REST, and web services.

• Hands-on experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

• Experience with support desk ticketing systems, triage, responding, and resolving tickets.
