PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The purpose of this position is to lead the team on the Integrated planning, fulfillment, and service delivery for markets to ensure optimal production plan to respond to market demand in a timely, accurate and most cost-effective manner. Position contributes to achieve business results for the affiliate by supervising Supply Chain planning, Warehousing, Logistics, Distribution, and people related processes. Position will be visiting business partner’s manufacturing facility and manage the quality audit process as well as periodical reports provided by them, act as an on-site representative of the company, liaise with business partner for building synergy, implementation of the company’s strategy, undertake transformation projects, manager KPIs on Cost, Cash, Service and build sustainable productivity pipeline in operations or beyond with clear impact on affiliate balance sheet.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Define and establish requirements for tobacco and non-tobacco materials and spare parts. Lead all relevant administrative procedures in order to ensure timely delivery of goods to meet market/production budgets and work on cycle time to decrease inventories and increase response time.
2. Work with local organization Market management to identify Operations requirements, act as the advisor on Operations matters and be the link between the Third-Party Manufacturers and organization. Provide and assure an advisory service so that agreed volumes and quantities are manufactured on time at quality and forecasted cost levels.
3. Negotiate, agree and ensure that sufficient production resources are available at the TPM to always complete on time the supply of finished goods. Develop supply plans to compensate cash limitations at TPM by searching for better solutions and optimize cycle time. Ensure that products are manufactured by business partner according to approved operations procedures, best practices, specifications, local laws or regulatory requirements at a quality constantly positioned at the top of the competitive range in order to maintain organization’s standards.
4. Regularly review KPI’s, formulate and implement corrective actions, process improvements and equipment modifications to ensure continuous improvement in performance.
5. Protect organization’s interests with partners by acting as a leader with the various departments and services. Keep the management informed about the development of partner relationship to establish and maintain an efficient communication and decision-making process. Initiate, organize and manage training programs for local technical and managerial personnel in order to improve their professional and organizational skills and understanding of the quality and business objectives in order to reduce cycle time. Develop and maintain appropriate business relationships with any third party in order to contribute towards building a positive image of the organization and integrity with partner, government authorities and other organizations concerned, and thereby gain their support whenever necessary.
6. Manage the budgeting process in a timely and effective manner. Control the development and implementation of objectives and strategies for efficient and cost effective, nation-wide distribution and logistics of finished goods and marketing materials in order to guarantee well managed optimum stock levels and an optimal nation-wide availability. Ensure full compliance to all company’s operating policies & procedures.
7. Regularly review KPI’s, formulate and implement corrective actions, process improvements and equipment modifications to ensure continuous improvement in performance.
8. Business Partner with commercial market MD and be a single point of contact for operations. Prioritize service level agreement at market.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
EDUCATION: Graduate of engineering major, or equivalent. Master’s in business management would be added advantage
WORK EXPERIENCE: 15+ years’ experience in FMCG or tobacco industry in Manufacturing, Supply chain strategy, Demand Planning, Supply execution, Sales Distribution and Logistics-Warehousing
