Position Title: Research Scientist – Analytical
Level: E1 – E4
Reporting to (Title): Team Leader/Group Leader – Analytical

Position Purpose

The incumbent should be an MSc in Analytical Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a reputed University in India. He should have at least 1-2 years of hands on experience in operating Single Quad or Triple Quad LCMS instrument. He should be good in interpretation of mass spectra of small molecules. Knowledge and experimental skill in different chromatography techniques is a must

Strategic Responsibilities

• Actively imbibing the values and philosophy of PI Industries
• Efficient contribution to the overall success of CreAgro Analytical Chemistry through scientific contribution and supporting team performance according to objectives and targets being set by the leadership team
• Fullfilling requirements and achieveing goals set by the Team Leader and Group Leader
• Keep abreast of latest developments In the field of LCMS
• Remain at the cutting edge of knowledge required for the new a.i. discovery activity in crop protection through constant updating of personal knowledge and own skill-sets

Operational Responsibilities

• Assist the Team leader in day to day activities like sample preparation, reaction monitoring by LCMS, new method developments, report generation and the data management
• Should be conversant with theoretical principles of different analytical techniques, chromatography and spectroscopy.
• Knowledge of different experiments performed using the Triple Quad LCMS is essential
• Take care of routine maintenance of the LCMS instrument and Ion Source cleaning
• Continuous documentation and reporting of all analytical results
• Comply to all safety requirements of the role and housekeeping of the lab
• Handle instrument (other than GCMS) as secondary responsibility

Financial Responsibilities

• Work with in the limit of budgets
• Suggest cost improvement areas to the Team Leader / Group Leader

People Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and cross functional teams to ensure meeting research objectives.
• Develop and foster positive relationships with other teams and support groups to maximize cooperation and consequent benefit to objective delivery
• Should be able to work in multitasking environment
• Ensure team harmony through collaboration and active participation in all team discussion

Education Qualification

• MSc/Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry from a reputed University / Institute with excellent academic credentials.
• Research publications and/or patents appreciated

Work Experience

1-7 years of hands on experience on LCMS instrument

Industry to be Hired from

Agro Chemical / Pharma / Research Universities or Institutes.
