PRODUCT MANAGER – REAL-WORLD DATA SOLUTIONS
_Position Overview:_
Under the direction of the Executive Director Head of Business Technology & Data Architecture, this individual will work in an integrated computer network environment. An employee in this classification perform analysis and produce documents such as general specifications, functional detailed specifications, planning, and user manuals. Their responsibility is to deliver an outstanding user experience providing an exceptional and intuitive application design. Responsibilities include product manager assistance in studying and strategizing solutions, designing, and documenting solutions, coordination between project owners and developers during development phase and training to end users.
_Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):_
I – Study and Strategy of the solution
1 – Understanding objectives
· Formalize project objectives
2 – Analyze the context
· Find information on existing projects
· Analyze the existing organizational context
· Achieve technical benchmark (with the help of architect or expert if applicable)
· Identify constraints of performance, safety and quality
3 – Recommend solutions
· Participate in framing the functional and creative perimeter for the project in collaboration with other teams and take into account technical aspect
· Help define technical choices from assumptions and benchmark from the development team
· Recommend, formalize and validate proposal in relation to the need’s analysis
II – The design and production of the solution
1 – Supporting the functional analysis
· Provide the main constraints
· Validate the feasibility of functional specifications
· Contribute to the development of functional specifications and validate the feasibility
· Propose optimizations of functional solution
2 – Design the solution
· Perform technical analysis by integrating the functional and creative requirements
· Translate requirements in terms of quality, performance, safety
· Help define the technical architecture in collaboration with architects and experts
· Write all the functional and technical specifications
· Initiate risks and changes process
· Ensure the development of test plans and organize/schedule the execution of functional tests
3 – Organize the development of the solution
· Adjust, brief, and interact with the developer team and partners on the implementation of the technical solution
· Validate code compliance with technical and functional specifications and ensure that code reviews are conducted
· Ensure that configuration of the platforms is done in collaboration with architects and experts
· Define the code deployment procedure and associated data
4 – Realize internal and external reviews
· Conduct tests according to the defined plan, analyze the results and make the necessary corrections
· Conduct performance testing and produce quality indicator
· Negotiate change requests and propose an action plan
· Ensure validation for production deployment
5 – Ensure the deployment of the solution
· Define and implement deliveries with the hosting partner (procedure packaging, delivery and configuration management) and inform
6 – Provide training and manage documentation
· Write in collaboration with functional team user manuals and documentation project and centralize documentation
· Ensure update of functional and technical documentation throughout the life of the project
· Prepare teaching materials to train user’s teams
· Organize and conduct training sessions adapting to the skill levels of interlocutors
III – Animation and maintenance organization
1 – Monitoring and, corrective and evolutionary maintenance
· Collect tickets in tracking tool, qualify, monitor and ensure its treatment
· Perform reporting and ensure compliance with the commitments (SLA)
· Ensure monitoring and analysis of application logs for the technical platform
· Analyze and assess applications changes made by Michelin
2 – Propose changes
· Provide support for technical and / or functional evolution
· Conduct a technical, strategic and competitive monitoring related to the project
IV – Project management
1 – Organize and run the project
· Participate / organize internal kick off for the project involving the project team
· Manager external service providers
· Inform production teams
· Participate / organize kick off
· Purchase licenses need for project
· Ensure the members of his team can time sheet
2 – Monitor the project
· Monitoring and ensure team respect planning
· Alert in case of problems / risks and propose solutions to problems
· Fulfill time sheet and validate and control the time sheet for his team
· Follow the detailed schedule of project tasks and meet deadlines
3 – Lead the project team and communicate about the project
· Consolidate and establish reporting for internal and customers
· Facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders, writing reports and disseminates information
· Discuss with project stakeholders to ensure proper coordination

· Attend seminars of the profession
· Ensure monitoring and sharing best practices
· Take part in seminars and conferences of the profession
· Refer to the documentation and read internal digital trends
