Principal Hiring for Data Engineer at Pune, India Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developer role is responsible for developing, testing and maintaining the application/s with established processes.

  • Develop and maintain technical designs based on requirements

  • Develop application code for programs while following coding standards

  • Develop and execute unit tests

  • Complete Analysis & documentation as required by the project

  • Support application testing and resolve test defects

  • Report status updates as required by the project

  • Follow established project execution processes

  • Get actively involved in Training, self-development & knowledge sharing

Education: Graduate – Bachelor’s degree (any stream)

Skills set:

  • Multiple platform (Windows, AIX, Z/OS, LINUX) experience/knowledge

  • Ability to use VI (AIX text editor)

  • Strong SQL Skills (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server)

  • Understanding/ knowledge of one or more of the following: Informatica, Business Objects,

  • Database administration: SQL/ DB2/ Oracle

  • Must have basic planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management, decision-making, and very strong written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and work in ambiguous situations Must be able to maintain accuracy and confidentiality

  • Will be required to provide on-call support as part of weekly team rotation

  • Will be required to be able to work off-hours for scheduled maintenance & infrastructure changes

Other:

  • Systems administration and infrastructure experience

  • Experience supporting a Business Intelligence application. Infrastructure and System Administration.

  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (KORN, BAT, JCL)

  • Familiarity with any of the following technologies/tools: Microsoft Windows Server, LINUX Operating System, SAP Business Objects, SAS, Information Builders WebFocus, Erwin Data Modeler, Grid Technologies, Tomcat, JBoss, IBM WebSphere (WAS), IBM DB2 Database (DB2), Microsoft SQL Server Database (SQL Server), Oracle Database, IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD), IBM ClearCase
