As a Full-Stack Mobile Developer, your primary mission will be to architect and engineer critical components across a variety of micro-services and frontend experiences, particularly our ReactNative mobile app for Teachers. You will be working on the International Enablement team where we aim to build solutions to help establish product market fit in countries all around the world. Given that our scope is market-based, our team works with the entire Prodigy product offering which means diving into all of our products and services as well as building new ones.

Your Impact:

• Plan and build product features and enhancements which encompass the entire stack
• Write and maintain high quality, well tested, scalable and well-documented code
• Be a leader in mobile development helping form standards and processes
• Be the voice of technology and drive what important work needs to be done to maintain a healthy application
• Collaborate with high performance teams and help them continually improve their abilities

Who You Are:

• A strong understanding of mobile development (React Native, iOS or Android)
• A strong understanding of ES6 and HTML5
• Experience building and maintaining flexible backend services
• Passion for user experience, performance, and uptime
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc.)
• Experience with one or more front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.)
• A love for learning and staying on top of the latest in mobile development
• Dedication to moving fast while maintaining a healthy code base

Our Core Technologies:

• Frontend: React Native, React, ES6
• Backend: Python, Node.js, GraphQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, AWS, Lambda

Bonus Points For:

• DevOps/SRE experience
• Mobile design standards
• Experience with Python or Node.js
• Experience with GraphQL or RESTful APIs.
• Ability to work with other programming languages
• Knowledge of security best practices
• Experience with AWS technologies – EC2, RDS, CloudFront, S3, etc
• Experience with unit testing and testing frameworks
