In this role, the analyst’s job will not only pertain to the quantitative aspect of finance but also with the qualitative skills of finding ideas from information that is not always visible in plain sight, this not only requires skills ranging from financial concepts and excel tools but most importantly the ability to grasp knowledge from articles, books, interviews and any other source that can help the analyst generate ideas by using this base of knowledge, hence we are looking for candidates who are more of investors in their own personal capacity rather than just being analysts while a blend of both will be the perfect scenario for both the parties.

Key requirements for this position:

• Financial and analytical skills in the form of reading and decoding financial statements. How to apply the basic financial concepts in different situations will be tested.
• Should be an avid reader and be willing to be part of the knowledge-sharing ecosystem of the research team. Candidates who read books and articles of various genres as their hobbies will be looked at favourably.
• The candidate should be an investor in his or her own personal capacity. This does not pertain to derivatives or short-term trading but only long-term investing irrespective of the strategy used.
• There is no compulsion of a “Finance degree” to apply for this job and we will welcome applicants from various fields as long as the basic financial concepts and their own investing style is well defined.
• Candidates working towards CFA/CA/FRM/MBA will be looked at favourably but it is not a core requirement for this job.

Key Responsibilities of the analyst

• Analyse companies under coverage and scout for opportunities across various sectors in accordance with the fund’s investment strategy.
• Attend con-calls and prepare reports of companies under coverage.
• Use the available information to formulate a view on companies under coverage and be on top of all the current events prevailing in the industry.
• Participating in company analysis to help the team form a view on the merits or demerits of a potential investment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹20,000.00 – ₹65,000.00 per month
