ProQuest Hiring for Senior Power BI Developer at Hyderabad, India Full Time

The technology group supports and develops all our internal and client facing tools and products which create world leading content platforms such as Web of Science, Derwent and Cortellis. The tracking, reporting and visualization of the data from these tools and products is paramount for improving the workflows. The Report Systems Analyst would:

• Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize data utilizing Power BI

• Obtain, document, and analyze reporting needs and requirements through collaboration with product owners and end users

• Work across functional lines to strive for and ensure consistent data quality

• Conduct continuous review of reports and identify opportunities for improvements in performance by implementing best in class modelling practices

• Proficient in M-Query – build models and aggregations that are performance friendly and can work with even large amount of data.

• Perform analysis and develop recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities

• Build aggregations that can reduce the amount of data handled by the BI tools there by improving performance of the reports over time. Work with database teams and technical staff to provide seamless integration into one standardized workflow and system

• Help with the conversion of reporting systems from older technology and standardize workflows.

• Provide assistance and direction on specific reporting projects to internal Business Sponsors, teams or product management groups in order to: assist in understanding the reporting requirements for a given product, or process, or system and collection/analysis of that data to that end

• Review basic product needs, instructions, regulations and generate metric or reporting systems for low to medium level projects; document requirements and assists in communicating with internal stakeholders

• Undertakes testing and/ or User Acceptance testing and technical implementation where applicable with guidance from the customer (internal/external).

• Develops an understanding of customer and/or product needs in the context of internal and external requirements for solution development
