Prosus Group Looking For Director, Corporate Affairs and Public Policy, India at Greater Delhi Area Full Time

THE ROLE

Prosus is continuing to invest and grow in India, and as our Director for Corporate Affairs and Public Policy, your role would be to have regular contact with policymakers and regulators across relevant Government entities, as well as relevant advisory boards and associations, to engage them on who Prosus is; explain the mission and intent of various business present in India; and to provide a platform for ongoing dialogue with all stakeholders.

You will join a growing, dynamic global team and will advocate on issues affecting Prosus customers, investments, business operations, and growth in India.

WE’LL EXPECT YOU TO

• Proactively establish good relationships with key policymakers, regulators and influencers and help prioritise national and local government public policy issues;
• Assess and address policy risks to the business as well as advance strategic opportunities and initiatives in the relevant market segments;
• Partner and work closely with the business leaders and corporate affairs leaders of group companies to ensure alignment between core business priorities and public policy goals;
• Provide policy expertise and analysis for company executives and serve as an in-house expert on policies that affect the Internet and Technology business;
• Work collaboratively and transparently with the global corporate affairs team and the international legal team to establish a strategic and structured approach in engaging across policy stakeholders and government.

YOU’LL HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, communications, or a related field. A master’s degree in public policy, law, international affairs, or political science would be an asset.
• Significant prior experience in government, government affairs, international public affairs or global policy roles. Experience working with government agencies, legislative bodies, or regulatory authorities is a plus.
• Familiarity with the consumer internet or tech industries and the specific policy and regulatory issues that impact them is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Relationship Building: an executive able to proactively develop and maintain a comprehensive network of relationships with a broad range of different stakeholders, both internal and external. Ability to combine intellectual rigour and people engagement while painting an inspirational picture of the Prosus values and mission.
• Results Orientation: demonstrated through successful implementation of best practices in the corporate affairs function, which have had a positive impact on the results of the business. Hands-on approach and the ability to work under pressure, establish priorities and effectively coordinate the work with the rest of the organisation.
• Collaboration and Influencing: you work across several boundaries in a changing environment – as such, you will need to be able to influence key business leaders internally, as well as policymakers externally. Ability to impact significant change through credibility, leadership skills and the building compelling strategies and business cases.
• Business Acumen: comfortable contributing beyond functional issues, thinking from a business standpoint and having a clear view of where the company needs to go. The new director will have the breadth to anticipate future opportunities and create corporate campaigns to address these, delivering flawlessly executed results on high-profile strategies.
