Data Centre/Cloud Consultant Educational Qualifications: Post-Graduation (Good to have): MCA/MSc/MTech (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics). Graduation (Mandatory): BE/BTech (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics) Certifications: Having one or more of the following certifications will be an added advantage:

• At least one Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Certification from any one of the leading Cloud service providers is recommended.
• Having one from the following certification will be an added advantage
  • Prince-2/PMP
  • TOGAF
  • ITIL

Work Experience:

• 3 to 8 years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS or Google Cloud or Azure platforms
• Experience in Cloud assessment / evaluation /migration / implementation
• Experience in working in Government sector will be added advantage

Required Skill Sets:

• Experience of projects including Data Centre & Cloud Transformation, Data Centre Consolidation & Migration, Managed Services and designing of IT strategy
• Experience in Cloud solutions (IaaS/ PaaS/ SaaS) Strategy and Implementation for mid or large size organizations (this includes private/public Clouds – on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMWare)
• Sound knowledge of Data Centre Tiers and Ratings.
• In-depth understanding of Virtualization, Software defined Data Centre Technologies for Compute, Servers, Storage, Backup, Hyper Converged and Networks
• Experience with large and complex IT systems in an enterprise environment using virtualization or private Cloud technologies, including VMware, Xen, OpenStack, and Hyper-V
• Good Understanding of different Storage, backup, replication, disaster recovery and high availability technologies
• Experience in participating in transformation initiatives for mid to large scale organizations
• Experience with designing, implementing, or operating IT systems on leading commercial Cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google
• Knowledge on Cloud migration processes – refactoring, re-platforming and re-hosting. Design, development and testing of network architectures that include integration of key software components
• Knowledge of available emerging technologies supporting IT Infrastructure and Cloud computing

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic direction and leadership for the IT infrastructure/ Cloud Computing and lead technology initiatives for technology infrastructure setup
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure services vision, innovation and leverage latest IT trends
• As-Is assessment and analysis of the current IT Infrastructure / Cloud platform. Assessment of existing Data Centre asset in terms of standardization, consolidation and optimization
• Formulation of Data Centre Architecture/Cloud Services Architecture and Strategy for Transformation
• Develop end to end technical solution related to IT Infrastructure and Cloud computing
• Designing / Architecting / Sizing / Pricing of Data Centre & Cloud based solutions (Public cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud)
• Drafting the Data Centre / Cloud Migration Approach and formulating the Service Level Agreements in the transformed end state
• Advising in RFP formulation for implementation vendors
• Development of service delivery model for Data Centre and cloud services
• Ensure Successful client delivery within agreed time and develop healthy relationships with clients and internal teams
• Conduct regular knowledge sharing sessions on the latest IT Infrastructure trends
• Gathering business requirements from client stakeholders via interactions like interviews, workshops and through review of existing documentation
• Understanding customer needs and translating them to business, business process flows and functional requirements.
• Good knowledge of implementation of cloud-based initiatives, help team to design the optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding IT Infrastructure / Cloud deployment and infrastructure maintenance
