We are looking for a Senior level UNIX Systems Administrator to join our global IT team.

This role will work in support of our global RedHat Linux physical and virtual machine ecosystem in both a private and public cloud setting. The seasoned and experienced candidate will work on all levels of incident and problem management, along with any adds/moves/changes to Linux servers.

What You’ll Do:
⦁ Design, maintain and document complex QAD systems environments and system performance measurement.

⦁ Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (Veeam, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers).

⦁ Examine backup software performance and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures

⦁ Configure backup policy for new backup clients.

⦁ Perform regular DR (Disaster Recovery) test plan of backup data restoration and storage replication availability.

⦁ Perform offsite tape recall when needed for backup recovery.

⦁ Provide evidence for annual external and internal audit requirements.

⦁ Maximize performance through ongoing and ad hoc system examination.

⦁ Disseminate knowledge and experiences with the rest of the team.

⦁ Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners

⦁ Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

⦁ Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

⦁ Participate in OS patch management and coordination.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

⦁ Minimum 5+ years of Unix experience is required

⦁ Should also have a good understanding of VMWare VSphere, and a general understanding of high end storage hardware (NetApp, HPe Nimble a plus)

⦁ Experience in managing SMTP, samba & NIS applications is required.

⦁ Strong scripting skills (Pearl, Bash, Powershell, Python), etc…

⦁ Strong knowledge of Redhat Enterprise Linux.

⦁ Redhat Certification(RHCE) is good to have.

⦁ Experience in working on Windows 2016 / 2012 / 2008 server environment.

⦁ Strong Knowledge in Backup and storage products like Veeam and Veritas NetBackup.

⦁ Hands-on experience on VmWare Infrastructure.

⦁ Linux server troubleshooting, Log analysis and root cause analysis for down situation.

⦁ Must be able to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
