About GBFS Team: The Global Business and Finance Support (GBFS) team is in charge to provide support in the finance and business/sales operations activities support globally. Finance support include but not limited to FP&A, Opex, Costing, Pricing, Software, and reporting analysis areas. Business/Sales Operations forecast units’ analysis support, billing and backlog reporting, master data account management in Sales force / Oracle, account owner, account hierarchy and opportunity pipeline reporting and building dashboarding. Team also supports on Market research division using 3rd party vendor like IDC, Counterpoint, CMR etc.

Job Overview

• The Analyst is responsible for receiving and processing large amounts of third-party raw data to be consumed by various business teams.
• The Analyst will capture product information from multiple sources by entering and updating the data in our database and systems. During this process, the Analyst performs detailed data validation to identify gaps, discrepancies, and adherence of our high data standards.
• A detailed and thorough mindset is needed as the Analyst conducts their own product research to verify product specifications obtained in order to improve the accuracy and completeness of data.
• The Analyst utilizes Excel, Python, TM1 and Tableau to clean data, enter data and extract information to support the data team.
• Working closely with Data Team colleagues the individual will analyze and transform “data” to “information” that supports business needs and objectives. This is done by conducting mappings of data to licensees and grouping product data from multiple sources.
• The Analyst responds to data requests, questions, and needs from various cross functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel skills, maintain a focus on details, high level of commitment to supporting business needs and have demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Ability to work hard and extended hours during financial close and evening meetings with San Diego stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

2 to 4 years academic or industry experience required with the following skills: Mandatory Advance MS Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, formulas), Data Analysis skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

 Excel macro/VBA skills are preferred.

 Familiarity with Python are preferred.

 Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx will be added advantage for the ideal candidates.

 Excellent judgment, high level of integrity and respect for confidentiality.

 Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.

 Extremely high attention to detail.

 Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Accounting and/or Business Administration and/or Finance and/or Marketing.
