Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Embedded SW Engineer is responsible for Hardware Abstraction Software development for Application Projects

• Participate in the necessary requirements engineering analysis and clarifications of internal re-quirements out of their specifications.

• Detailed design, coding and module testing of the specific software components in accordance with the BU processes and conventions.

• Component level testing of the software component in accordance to the BU processes and conventions

• Conduct reviews (Ex: Design, code, Module Test)

• Analyze and fix bugs found during testing

• Delivery of committed work packages results within the planned time, effort and quality

• Implement the software functionality in C programming language as per the specifications like MISRA, QAC, and Polyspace guidelines.

• Guide team members technically in the execution of application projects and support in de-bugging issues.

• Sharing of work load of other team members when the workload is high.

• Support other teams for cross model issues, project escalations, training needs, etc.

• Participate in the knowledge sharing at all levels of the organization

• Propose process improvement to increase the team efficiency and foster innovation

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• 7+ years of Software development experience in automotive domain

• Experience in Automotive SW development on hardware-dependent software

• Exposure to low-level software development and configurations

• Good in C programming and 16/32 bit micro controller architectures

• Experience in communication protocols such as SPI, I2C

• Experience in configuration and requirements management tool

• Good in analytical and debugging skills

• Good in structured problem-solving skills like root cause analysis, 5-why, Fishbone, etc

• Good in handling hardware tools like debuggers, oscilloscopes, etc

• Good communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Vehicle Dynamics domain

• Intercultural / International Experience: Japan, China, Germany (Preferred, not mandatory)
