Roles & Responsibilities

Senior Engineer -Electrical

Definition :

The objective of this study is to support all industrial sites in their lighting transition effort.

The transition effort may be led by cost performance driver, legal regulation (e.g. European ban of fluorescent lighting), Carbon footprint reduction initiative (as LED use less power).

The methodology consists in:

• Collecting the lighting layouts of the asset (or 3D model if available)

• Collecting the lighting wiring diagrams of the asset

• Collecting the lighting calculation notes of the asset

• Collect lighting requirements (project specification, local regulation requirement)

• Verify if the simple lighting apparatus (same number / same location / different technology) satisfy the lighting requirements

• Propose necessary adjustments (locations and number) when lighting requirements are not fully matched

• Update the lighting wiring diagrams with consideration for inrush current of LED devices

• Propose circuit number increase or circuit breaker substitution to ensure existing lighting distribution boards can be kept compatible with the technology change
