Roles & Responsibilities:
Review of Drawings
Interact with Customer, Supplier and multiple stakeholders for Drawing review
Maintaining Quality Metrics
Interact with Team and develop the Team and improve on Quality
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in component Design & Development of Locomotive / automobile / Aerospace / Heavy Industries
Good in drawing reading skills and knowledge in MBD
Minimum 8+ years of experience in CATIA V5 and above
Experience in Modelling, Detailing and Assembly using CATIA Tool
Should be very good at engineering fundamentals
Shop floor experience in Sheetmetal, Casting, Forging, Metal joining techniques (Bolting, Welding, Riveting), plastics
Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes
Should be able to work on generating concepts, perform trade-off matrix using idea generation methods.
Familiarity/Understanding of industry codes and standards such as ASME Y14.5
Should be able to generate drawings of various kinds (Sheetmetal, Castings, forgings, Welding) with application of proper GD&T as applicable
Have good knowledge on validation process of components and New component introduction process
Should have worked in DFMEA, Validation & Verification plan.
GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS.
Strong knowledge in Engineering standards followed [ANSI, ISO, ASTM]
Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams.
