Job Description

• Main Tasks and Key Areas of Work

To be a key member of the creative team, working with the Creative Director and Director of Marketing & Communications to develop the visual direction.To design and manage the production of effective marketing materials including catalogue and brochure design, POS, stationery & signage in line with agreed timeframes and budgets. To work from agreed design briefs, producing innovative solutions that combine both written and visual elements.Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality. Image processing to a high standard, for print and web Taking design briefs from typesetting through to design, print and production Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, labelling, company logos, and static web pages. Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to turn business ideas into innovative designs To build brand awareness and loyalty An understanding of the latest software skills and their role within a commercial environment and share this knowledge within the design team To assist the Creative Director and the Director of Marketing & Communications in developing the visual direction of our brand Design effective graphics and marketing materials in support of all sales channels:that reflect the Quick touch brand visionthat are part of the agreed look for the seasonthat are practical to producethat are on schedule and within budget To assist in driving the development of direct mail order channel by:Designing and creating content in line with agreed time frames and budgets.Designing and creating content in line with agreed time frames and budgets. Produce comprehensive specifications and mock-ups for printers to work from, ensuring artwork is print ready Preparing rough drafts of material based on agreed brief to be discussed and reviewed with managers Reviewing final layouts, suggesting improvements if required and making artwork print-ready Ensuring final artwork is ready within the time frame agreed, showing strong project management and organizational skills To create a library of illustrations and graphics. Make overview sheets for all graphics so that all departments can see what has been completed and how the graphics look alongside other elementsTo manage and motivate any employees reporting to you and to assist in their development.
