- Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development product, which includes System-validation, feature validation and performance analysis, customer review sessions for LTE/5G and ORAN products focusing on Air interface, E2E performance, and Call Processing with excellent understanding of HW-SW architecture.
- Strong Knowledge on 5GNR & O-RAN with clear understanding of 5GNR layers SDAP,RRC,RLC,MAC and PHY, Ethernet/IP/eCPRI/O-RAN protocols.
- Ability to Integrate gNB nodes such as O-DU and O-RU with strong knowledge to 5G-Core network and Interface Protocols and timing.
- Hands-on experience on 5GNR and ORAN in Feature testing, Validation testing, Regression testing, System testing, Performance Testing and Initial Integration Testing (SIT).
- Excellent knowledge of RAN(5G/O-RAN) specific testing and logging tools and ability to debug the issues.
- Solid understanding of 3GPP RAN and ORAN profile able to drive feature and specification mapping wrt ORAN WG requirements.
- Analyzing the product and feature requirements, converting them into system test cases and execution to ensure product meets customer spec.
- Aid in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product & SW releases.
- Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G Wireless Protocols and Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting the issues with real time.
- Skills Required:
- Good understanding on 5G concepts such as DL/UL scheduling, power control, Beamforming fundamentals. Knowledge of RAN products and solutions
- Experience with system testing activities such as feature validation, test description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, problem troubleshooting and call processing technologies and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network.
- Good understanding of overall Wireless systems with emphasis on PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP and SDAP layers.
- Preferable if experience in testing of ORAN Fronthaul Interface for DU & RU compliant to CUS Plane & M Plane specifications.
- knowledge of RAN L3/L2/FAPI protocols and debug skills required.
- Experience with SW development – Good to have
- Experience with test tools including protocol analyzers,E500, XCAL/QXDM, Wireshark, Keysight Channel Emulator, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, etc
