At Rakuten India, we are looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer who will maintain and support our production E-commerce systems. You will be an integral part of the India team, which closely collaborates with the teams in Japan and other regions, striving to enhance the automated code deployment, proactive platform monitoring and troubleshooting and root cause analysis, plus capacity planning for our growing business and trading peaks. Rakuten Cloud Platform: You will be an integral part of CPD (Cloud Platform Department), a core department of Rakuten working on the strategic In-house Cloud initiatives based on Open Source Cloud-Native stack. This Cloud platform is responsible to run the mission-critical Rakuten Services that span across Rakuten Marketplaces in various geographies with key focus on BCP (Business Continuity Plan) and Self-Service access to the Tenants. The breadth of Rakuten Cloud Platform services is quite diverse and not limited to Containers, Container Orchestration, Databases (RDBMS, NoSQL), Storage, Big Data, Logging, Monitoring etc. Position Summary: The DevOps Engineer for Cloud will be working as part of a dynamic team that will be enabling the application teams to transform into the latest cloud platform and integrating various services the cloud platform provides. Our team has expertise in various cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Exalogic, Mesos, OpenStack, and Automation is our key strength like scripting or chef/ansible etc. Our focus is on providing a fully-managed cloud platform service to the application teams within Rakuten.
Primary:

• DevOps, CI/CD pipeline build, Mesos, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Linux administration, Shell scripting, Configuration Management tool (Chef/Ansible), internal log management solution (ELK or similar).

Experience with Terraform for Infra as code management.
Experience with CFM tools such as Chef or Ansible.
Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes / Mesos / Openstack
Ownership for an internal log management solution (ELK or similar) and Prometheus/Grafana.
Sysadmin, infrastructure background (Linux internals, filesystems, networking)
Must know how to code – Python, Go.
Should know how to check-in code, peer review, and work well with distributed teams.
Operations role with the passion to automate routine tasks, solve production issues. Good to have: In-depth understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes
Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline build, improvement and management
Experience in Docker Containers, build, and deployment in a container environment.
Responsibilities:
