Introduction:

Ramaiah International Centre for Public Health Innovations (RICPHI) and Ramaiah Medical College(RMC) are constituent units of the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), Bangalore. While RMC is a renowned institution of medical education since 1989, RICPHI was launched in June 2019 as a resource center for education, research and service dedicated to public health practice, with a focus in the areas of chronic health conditions of underserved communities in India and beyond. RICPHI’s endeavor is to develop effective capacity building programs for healthcare providers across public and private sectors around clinical, managerial and leadership skills at national and international level. About the project: RICPHI and RMC have been jointly awarded a capacity building project in the state of Meghalaya supported by the World Bank that envisages to empower health care providers including Medical Officers, Nursing staff and program managers in government health facilities at all levels with techno managerial and clinical skills. The project will run for three years and will be implemented in collaboration with the Govt. of Meghalaya.

Job Title: Research Fellow- Reproductive and Child Health, Health Systems and Data Analytics

Reporting to: Team Leader, Meghalaya Health Systems Strengthening Project (MHSSP)/ Director, Ramaiah International Centre for Public Health Innovations

Type of Contract: Full time
Duration: 36 months with yearly renewals based on satisfactory performance

Job Description:
Responsibilities:

• Assist the Team Leader and other senior project leaders in conducting baseline, midline and endline evaluation (M&E) of the project.
• Assist in developing and maintenance of a dynamic management information system and dashboards for continuous monitoring of project related data and in generating periodic reports.
• Collect field level data as part of the M&E function of the project
• Manage and maintain regulatory and project data files under the supervision of M&E lead.
• Use appropriate statistical software, methods, and techniques to gather, analyse, and interpret both primary and secondary research data to derive useful information for research reporting and dissemination
• Prepare and submit high quality and timely data analysis reports and findings for each component of the project in consultation with other technical experts and the Team Leader
• Assist the Team Leader in developing training modules for both e-learning platform and in-person workshops
• Assist in training of the providers as and when necessary

Requirements:

• MPH /MBA Health Care with minimum 2 years’ experience in field work/research in the health sector. Experience of participating in previous health research work is a must.
• Have in-depth knowledge of either one or more of the fields- Reproductive and Child Health, Health Systems and Data Analytics
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English and/or Khasi/Jaintiya/Garo languages. Knowledge of Hindi will be an asset
• Ability to liaise with different stakeholders including government officials, community leaders and the general public
• Ability to work under deadlines and pressure for quality work

Training:
The fellows shall receive intensive training on research, data management, communications, and project management throughout the period of the fellowship, at the successful completion of which, a certificate of performance shall be issued from RICPHI and RMC.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹30,000.00 – ₹50,000.00 per month
