Job Purpose

To lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale thermal power plant projects (Greenfield/Brownfield), ensuring on-time, within-budget, and compliant project completion aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Governance

• Provide strategic leadership for end-to-end execution of thermal power projects.
• Develop and oversee project governance framework and execution roadmap.

1. Planning & Execution

• Define project milestones, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead techno-commercial evaluation of EPC contracts, OEMs, and third-party consultants.

1. Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with internal teams, EPC contractors, government authorities, and regulatory bodies for seamless execution.
• Engage with financial institutions and legal teams to ensure compliance and funding alignment.

1. Cost & Budget Control

• Monitor budgets, cost-to-complete, CAPEX control, and cash flows.
• Implement project controls and reporting mechanisms for real-time tracking.

1. Regulatory & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure all clearances (MoEF, water, coal linkage, etc.) are obtained and adhered to.
• Drive sustainability and EHS compliance.

1. Team Management

• Build and lead multidisciplinary project teams including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and O&M transition.

1. Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee plant commissioning, performance testing, and handover to operations team.
