Job Description

Ravishankar College of Pharmacy invites applications from highly qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pharmaceutics and related subjects, conducting research, guiding research scholars, and contributing to the academic and administrative activities of the department.

Essential Qualifications (As per PCI norms):

• A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a PCI-approved institution.
• A master’s degree in Pharmaceutics (M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics) from a PCI-approved institution with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
• A Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Candidates must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent in the discipline of Pharmaceutics.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Postdoctoral research experience in Pharmaceutics or related areas from a reputed institution/organization.
• Research publications in peer-reviewed journals of high impact in the field of Pharmaceutics.
• Experience in guiding research scholars and managing research projects in Pharmaceutics.
• Participation in curriculum development and academic administration related to Pharmaceutics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pharmaceutics and related subjects.
• Develop and update course materials, lecture notes, and instructional resources for Pharmaceutics courses.
• Conduct research in the field of Pharmaceutics and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Guide and supervise research scholars and students for their dissertation/project work in Pharmaceutics.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental activities related to Pharmaceutics.
• Engage in continuous professional development and keep abreast of the latest developments in Pharmaceutics.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the department or institution.
