About the team

RealPage Data Science team uses decades of historical real-estate data and latest machine learning / AI algorithms to help improve products and processes. As a central data science team of the leading company in real-estate industry, our team engages in all kind of data science problems: forecasting, clustering, classification, pattern recognition and natural language processing. WHAT YOUâLL DO:
As a Data Scientist, you will help us explore, discover, collect and clean data from various sources and use modern tools and algorithms to analyze, understand and explain it. You will also build production ready data science services and help us upgrade and maintain such services. You will be working closely with business leaders across various teams to understand business problems and help come up with Data Science solutions to solve them. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect, clean and format large volumes of structured or unstructured data using ETL tools and employ programming (Python, R) to process, enrich, massage, and organize the data
• Ideate and lead guided, multifaceted analytic studies using large volumes of data
• Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on scientific methods; formulate and test hypothesis
• Train, test and deploy machine learning models including deep learning models
• Design experiments (A/B testing, multi-armed bandits) to optimize websites, applications and processes
• Work with data engineers and data analysts tobuild data environments
• Work closely with business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Operations Research or related fields
• 3-5 years of experience working with data including building machine learning models
• Strong analytical skills with sound understanding of statistics
• Familiar with machine learning algorithms including, but not limited to, linear regression, neural networks, k-means and others
• Proficient programming in Python and R and familiar with data science packages and libraries
• Prior experience applying data science methods to real-world business problems
• Strong communications skills; able to communicate the findings of data science research to general audience
• Proficient in relational databases and SQL (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL) and familiarity with big data and NoSQL environments (Kafka, NiFi, Hadoop, HBase, Phoenix, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana)

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Master’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Operations Research or related fields
• Ability to visualize data using visualization tools (D3, Tableau etc.)
• Familiarity with Deep Learning algorithms and frameworks (BERT, XLNet, Tensorflow, PyTorch)
• Ability to develop and publish web applications and APIs (Python, Java or C#)
