About the job:
The Red Hat Solutions Architecture team is looking for an experienced presales professional to join us as an Account Solutions Architect for financial services industry (FSI) Enterprise accounts in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat while creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships. You will work with customers to build a relationship of trust and confidence between Red Hat and the customer’s engineering, development, and operations teams, while gaining understanding of their business needs and aligning them with our solutions. After discovering and analyzing our customer’s business and technical needs, you’ll collaborate with the Sales and Technical Delivery teams to help our customers invest wisely in the best solutions that will give their systems maximum flexibility, allowing them to run faster and more efficiently. You will need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level. You will work with the team of specialists to design and deliver evaluations, proofs of concepts, and pilots of our offerings and have a crucial role in bringing together internal cross-functional teams to satisfy our most challenging customers. As an Account Solutions Architect, you will serve as a customer advocate to build the best solutions in the areas of Platform-as-a-Solution (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Solution (IaaS), cloud management, DevOps, automation, and middleware, ensuring that they are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way. You’ll need to have an excellent working knowledge of the latest technology architectures in the enterprise space, their supporting best practices, and associated tools and solutions. You will also need to have great communication and interpersonal skills. What you will do:

• Become a trusted adviser for Red Hat’s offerings and solutions, building long-lasting relationships within our key accounts and maintaining knowledge of the technical architecture within the accounts
• Based on customer engagements, perform a discovery of needs, design the best solutions, and deliver the Red Hat value proposition
• Deliver successful customer solutions workshops to shape customer use cases and architect design decisions
• Support evaluation of offerings, define high-quality proofs of concepts and pilots with the team of specialists to increase customer confidence in our offerings
• Demonstrate expertise and vision in practices by speaking at industry conferences
• Respond to customer and partner inquiries, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs)

What you will bring:

• 15+ years of experience working in the IT industry
• 10+ years of experience working as a presales engineer, consultant, IT architect, or in an equivalent role providing a variety of software and infrastructure solutions for enterprises
• Solid knowledge of enterprise solutions within the different IT architecture layers
• Excellent knowledge of cloud architectures and ability to guide a journey to the cloud roadmap discussion with customers
• Experience with the latest cloud technologies like Docker containers and Kubernetes and virtualization technologies like KVM and VMWare
• Knowledge of middleware and application development technologies like microservices, sales order automation (SOA), API management, and business process management (BPM)
• Knowledge of the latest technology practices for implementing DevOps
• Record of developing relationships as an enterprise architect and strategizing with technical, business, and executive and C-level stakeholders throughout large enterprise IT organizations
• Ability to present and have technical and business discussions at the senior level of customer organizations
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with enterprise solutions and architectures like cloud, big data, virtualization, automation, storage, middleware, integration, clustering, or high availability
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others to provide the best solutions for our customers
• Expertise in one of the offerings of the Red Hat portfolio
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and take initiative; ability to manage multiple large transactions with multiple organizations
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines
• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification is a plus
