Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and market trends.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and competition.
• Evaluate the financial feasibility of solar projects and partnerships.

2. Contract Management

• Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and customers.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies in all commercial agreements.
• Resolve disputes and negotiate amendments as necessary.

3. Financial Oversight

• Develop pricing models and cost structures for solar projects and services.
• Monitor budgets, revenue, and expenses to ensure financial performance targets are met.
• Prepare financial forecasts, reports, and business cases for senior management.

4. Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for commercial negotiations and partnerships.

5. Project Support

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project viability and profitability.
• Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables from a commercial perspective.
• Manage risks and implement mitigation strategies during project execution.

6. Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in commercial management, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.
• Proven track record in negotiating and managing large-scale contracts.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and cost control.
