We are the largest manufacturing exporter of general purpose hoses and reels from India, selling in over 22 countries from Americas region, APAC region and multiple countries in the EMEA region. Job Location: Jalandhar, Punjab.

Brief Summary: As the Manager – Imports and Liasoning, you will play a critical role in managing our import operations and establishing strong liaisons with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of import operations, including regulatory compliance, licensing, clearances, and tax matters.

About the roles and responsibilities:

• Handle the end-to-end import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics.
• Work closely with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of imported goods.
• Monitor and manage import costs, optimizing import-related expenses where possible.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all import-related documents and transactions.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with imports, including compliance issues and supply chain disruptions.
• Manage all documentations related to Banking.
• Customer payment Follow-up and planning of Forward Booking Contracts.
• Planning for Import-Export clearance on a daily basis and follow up with CHAs, forwarder.
• Follow up for remitted import payment and submission of proof of Import with the bank for knock-off their IDPMS Outstanding from their systems.
• Follow up of Export Bill Mark-off and EBRC’s timely to ensure clear outstanding with banks on their EDPMS portal of RBI.
• Legal documentations with all Govt. departments to resolve the issues/deficiencies
• EPCG, & Duty savings i.e. Advance License, SIMS/PIMS/CHIMS REGISTRATIONS from DGFT .

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration). Commerce Graduate Will be preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in import management, with a proven track record of handling import licenses, clearances, IGST claims, and tax payments.
• Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and trade agreements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
