RTI International Looking For Consultant – Public Transport and E-Mobility at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, Full Time

Please note: This is a contractual role with a tenure of 1 year, extendable basis performance and business requirement.

RTI is supporting Department of Transport, APSTRC and related departments in Government of Andhra Pradesh to accelerate deployment and adoption of electric mobility in the state.

RTI is seeking an experienced individual as a full time consultant to work closely with DoT, APSTRC, NREDCAP, APEPDCL, GVMC, APUIAML, APIICL etc.

Essential Duties : Main purpose of job (List primary duties that occupy a majority of incumbent time in order of importance)

Scope: Activities required to be undertaken are detailed below:

• Lead policy and program technical assistance advise to Department of Transport and other related departments/entities in GoAP.
• Lead formulation of new e-mobility policy by providing analytical and contextual inputs.
• Enable local stakeholder consultations including Government, thinktanks, citizen groups etc. in co-ordination with the Project Director
• Lead design of new pilot projects in e-mobility and their implementation, monitoring and review.
• Provide technical and programmatic inputs to ensure periodic review of policy and programs and subsequent follow-up actions.
• Head local PMU located within GoAP and provide technical and management leadership to the project team located in Vijayawada, Vizag and other locations in AP.
• Support Project Director in any other task that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications: At-least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as urban/transport/economics/engineering/finance/public policy or closely related subjects is required. Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: About 10-15 years total experience is required. Previous experience in public transport, e-mobility, urban planning and related fields is required. Experience of working in or with Government departments is desired.

Skills and Aptitude: Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work independently, focus on implementation and problem solving, collaborative style and knowledge of MS office.

Language: Ability to communicate in English and Telugu is required.

Location: Vijayawada

Duration: June 1, 2023 – May 31, 2024, with possibility of extension for 1 year.

Level of Effort: Full time, 6 days/week.

Travel: Occasional travel to select locations such as Vizag, N. Delhi etc. may be required, with prior approval of the Project Director.
