Rupa And Company Limited is India’s largest selling knitwear brand, offering a range of knitted garments from Inner Wear to Casual Wear, Sleep Wear to Thermal Wear. The company has a strong brand presence across the nation with popular brands like Frontline, Colors, Euro, Bumchums, Torrido, Thermocot, Softline, and Jon. Rupa brands are known for quality, durability, and catering to various segments of society.

Area Exposures (Area of Operations)

This is a full-time role for a Business Head – General Manager position for our Rupa – Colors division based out of Mumbai (would be looking after West region) and will be responsible for North & South region simultaneously.

Role Requirement

• Education: MBA/PGDM in Marketing is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in Channel and Distribution Sales, with mandatory experience in the West Zone and additional experience in either the North or South Zone of India.
• Geographic Exposure: Candidates must have managed at least two geographical zones in India.
• Industry Preference: Experience in FMCG, Textile, or Apparel industries is highly desirable.
• Distribution Expertise: Strong understanding of wholesale and dealer distribution networks.
• Revenue Responsibility: Proven track record of handling substantial turnover through channel and distribution networks.
• Current Role Level: The incumbent should currently be at a Senior Manager level or above.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Managing superlative growth by expanding the market for RUPA products.
2. Developing and implementing sales strategies for increase of market share and profitability on sustainable basis in line with Annual Business Plan (ABP).
3. Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network to ensure the comprehensive availability of company’s products and services across the region to achieve or exceed the sales targets
4. To direct the Sales team and establish sales targets brand wise, pack wise as per ABP, help them in breaking the same geographically, monthly, weekly & daily targets.
5. To motivate & direct Sales team to establish coverage, distribution and display objectives to meet sales targets.
6. Establish and ensure that all sales administration procedures relating to the region are properly implemented to support the sales teams in their efforts to accomplish the sales targets
7. To analyze stock movement/availability.
8. Help business head in developing long term pricing strategy to maximize variable margin through product/ territory/ pack mix decisions.
9. Have a clear focus on new channels to build Distribution channel, Visibility and volumes.
10. Co-ordinate and follow up with logistics and supply chain to ensure that adequate inventory stock of product is maintained for the business in order to meet the sales delivery schedules and provide the distributors with superior levels of service and meet the needs of the customer
11. Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure that adequate marketing support by way of merchandising and promotions is available in the region in order to provide brand visibility and promote sales in the region.
12. Work out a training calendar for all players in the Sales Organization and implement the same.
13. Responsible for expansion of CSD sales.
14. cost optimization & Market expansion while increasing Market share having ultimate objective to achieve Turnover & Profitability.
15. Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure that adequate marketing support by way of merchandising and promotions is available in the region in order to provide brand visibility and promote sales in the region & implement local sales promotion in consultation with marketing.
