This is a full-time role for a Production Merchandiser profile. The profile can be based at Head Office (Kolkata) or Factory Location (Howrah).

Role Requirement:

• Education: Graduation/Masters in Textile.
• Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Production Merchandising skill.
• Industry Exposure: Must have working experience in Textile/Fashion & Apparel/Knit-wear.

Key Responsibilities:

Should have worked directly with buyer or buying offices.

Garment & Fabric Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric types, trims, accessories, and quality standards.

Fabric, Trims & Accessories Programming: Ability to plan, book, and follow up materials in line with order requirements and T&A deadlines.

Order Placement & Follow-up: Skilled in raising purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely in-house arrival of fabric, trims, and accessories.

Order & Production Handling: Experience in order confirmation, sampling, approvals, and tracking production from cutting to shipment.

T&A Management: Preparing and monitoring Time & Action (T&A) calendars to ensure on-time delivery.

Coordination Skills: Efficient coordination with production, sourcing, quality, and supplier teams to achieve smooth workflow.

Costing & Commercial Awareness: Knowledge of fabric consumption, trims costing, and CM.

Documentation & Systems: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, ERP / SAP or order management systems; maintaining order sheets, reports, and shipment tracking.

Skills:

• Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, well-organized, multitasking ability, strong negotiation and time management skills.
• Problem Solving: Ability to foresee risks (delays, quality issues) and implement corrective actions.
• Communication Skills: Strong written & verbal communication for buyer interaction and cross-functional coordination.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, ERP / SAP or order management systems.
