WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
We are looking for an enterprising individual with the ZEAL and passion to solve complex problems and manage the Fabric team at / SAADAA.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ?
- Lead Purchasing of fabrics as per orders for both knits and woven, optimizing quality and cost.
- Must lead the fabric team to coordinate fabric orders of all ongoing orders and new developments
- Leading vendor management for fabric processing and finishing to match quality standards..
- Managing Fabrics follow-up, buying activities, approvals, quality control, and defects analysis of the fabrics.
- Guiding the product development team with new fabric collections for every season for developing new samples.
- Maintain cordial relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders
- Must enter fabric data in the ERP system
- Review or update supply practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
- Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
WHO YOU ARE ?
- Should possess good communication and presentation skills.
- Should be driven & capable of performing tasks independently.
- Passionate about textiles and should be driven to gain knowledge of the same (a B Tech/BSc/Diploma in textile is a bonus )
- Should have relevant experience and detailed knowledge in Woven and Knits fabric/yarn sourcing.
- Experience of fabric souring – 2 years minimum
- Should be organized, professional, and know how to use ERP systems
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and must have prior logistics experience
- Good understanding of woven and knitted garments, chemical and mechanical finishes, fabric inspection systems, fabric costing, and fundamentals of fabric manufacturing, dyeing and finishing.
- Advanced Excel knowledge and good analytical skills is a must
