Job Description:
The Database Administrator Lead manages our ever growing farm of production databases that are essential to the operation of Intacct’s cloud service. Responsible for application administration design, planning, and execution to support the production databases that are essential to the operation of Intacct’s cloud service. Work closely with operations engineers and software developers to ensure database integrity, availability, performance and to optimize data access. Configure and maintain Oracle database servers, monitor production databases, troubleshoot and resolve incidents. Manage database schema maintenance and migration and improve service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and process. Lead various projects and mentor team members.

• Under limited supervision, develop and maintain Oracle databases and database system environments
• Participate in the team’s 24×7 on call rotation and provide off hours support as required
• Monitor production databases, troubleshoot and resolve incidents
• Work with software developers to optimize data access
• Manage database schema maintenance and migration
• Provides guideline to the development of IT standards and policies to ensure compatibility and integration throughout the company.
• Provides project management regarding technical aspects of implementing DBA coordinated projects and major release upgrades for the organization’s critical systems.
• Responsible for complex database performance tuning, security, database backup/recovery strategy, and implementing monitoring procedures to maximize availability of the database.
• Improve service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and process
• Administer different database technologies and tools like Postgres, MySQL, AWS Redshift
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery, disaster recovery procedures
Job Requirements:
• College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of Oracle database administration experience
• 2+ years of MongoDB administration experience or 2+ years of Elasticsearch Administration experience
• Oracle administration skills, preferably in a Linux/UNIX environment
• Skills in SQL and PL/SQL, stored procedures and triggers
• Understanding of backup and recovery concepts and Oracle RMAN
• Good knowledge of Oracle Data Guard implementation and support
• Ability to use Oracle’s data dictionary and system views
• Ability to analyze and optimize complex SQL queries
• Ability to solve problems, make sound decisions and use good judgement
• Must be able to provide 24×7 on-call support on rotation schedule
• Understanding of software development processes and ability to work well with the development team
• Good written and oracle communication skills
• Working knowledge in administering Postgres DB or MongoDB
• Familiarity with administration of OBIEE, QlikSense, & Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus
