Role Description

We are seeking a senior communications leader to support a comprehensive communications and employee engagement program and build brand awareness in India as we scale our business. The role touches all internal and external audiences including employees, customers, media, stakeholders and partners, helping the business confidently to tell its story.

Responsibilities

• Communications Strategy: Partner with the central communications teams to oversee the development and execution of a communications, employee marketing and engagement strategy for India that will drive significant awareness for Salesforce across the market.
• Strategic counsel and leadership: Sit on the India Leadership Team providing essential communications counsel to the business and act as a go-to point of escalation for all communications issues.
• Executive Communications: Oversee executive communications programs for our regional CEO and other senior executives with bold and authentic narratives and internal and external engagement programs.
• Narrative and key message development: Build the company narrative for the region, enable the extended teams to tell the story of Salesforce India a way that resonates in the local market and inspires our customers to think big and take action and promotes brand love across a broad set of audiences.
• Employee communications and engagement: Partner with the employee comms and engagement team to ensure our candidate and employee programming aligns with the India Leadership Team’s priorities.
• Employer brand and recruitment marketing: Oversee brand building programs to build awareness for Salesforce and attract top talent to join the company in India.
• Policy Comms: Collaborate with our Government Affairs, Privacy and Legal teams in the region and lead the development of thought-leadership campaigns and engagement.
• Operations: Support the management processes around budgeting, reporting and other global alignment programs.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years experience in internal and external communications roles
• Established direct relationships across the business and technology media
• Experience in representing and engaging in industry organizations
• Experience in working on diversity and equality programs within a fast growth environment.
• Exposure to managing key stakeholder relationships
• Excellent leadership skills and experience in working across a matrix organisation to bring people together and deliver a strategy
• Impeccable critical thinking and no ego – we are a dynamic team and everyone pitches in to get the job done
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking, re-prioritizing projects and communicating priority updates to business partners
