SAMVADAInvites Applications for the Post of“Youth Mentors”Samvada is looking for young, dynamic creative and professional youth workers/youth mentors for its Bengaluru, Kolara and Chithradurga Youth Resource Centres.The youth mentoring model of Samvada is focused on liberating young people from all oppressive ideologies and bringing about changes in values so that young people find ways of contributing towards social justice, pluralism and ecological sustainability. The Youth Mentors role is therefore to reach, interact, inspire, guide and mentor youth / students from disadvantaged backgrounds and equip them with perspectives, values, life skills and suitable career aspirations and build leadership to change self and society.The ideal candidate will have:Remuneration: The total CTC will be in the range of Rs 30,000 – 40,000 per month depending on experience and qualification.Women, religious/gender/sexual minorities, Dalits and the differently-abled are especially encouraged to apply.To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter / email along with samples of your prior work, latest by 10th September 2021.Phone enquiries by job applicants will not be appreciated.

• Passion for social justice and a commitment to secularism, gender equity, social inclusion and ecological sustainability.
• Ability to work with youth in a friendly and non directive manner through mentoring, training and dialogue
• Masters Degree in Humanities/ Social Sciences/ Sciences
• 2-3 years (For Bengaluru and Kolara) and 4 – 8 years ( For Chitradurga) experience of working with youth in a NGO/ college or other organisation engaged with education and /or social justice.
• Language skills required Kannada for Chitradurga & Kolara) and Kannada and English for Bengaluru)
• Theatre, Music, Art and other skills will be ad added advantage
