Purpose & Objectives.
The objective of the role is to drive the solutioning process for the market unit for various service opportunities across SAP Lines of services and solutions. This would primarily include acting as a solution captain for scoping, estimating and creating value-based services proposals for various bids and deals. A good understanding of SAPs service offerings such as consulting services, premium engagement services, Cloud services, Training & Adoption services and Innovation Solutions & Services would be required.
The Role
You will work proactively with the Market Unit sales and delivery stakeholders to get a good understanding of the opportunities which need support and build an outstanding network of solution architects and solution leads to engage them in the bid process. You will in turn lead the execution of key milestones of the bid process (solution review, risk review) in such a way that all stakeholders are involved, and a fast and compliant process is executed.
By gaining an overall understanding of the SAP service portfolio and SAP solution you will be able to work closely together with service owners to get in-depth understanding of the offerings to integrate them into service proposals and drive innovative service offerings to the bid team.
Role Requirements
As a Solution Lead you will be:
Responsible for Solutioning assigned deals, with high quality, within agreed SLAs/timelines & meeting the expectations of the respective market unit in service of the end customer
Should be able to make optimum use of SAP portfolio of services with a right mix of on-site, nearshore and offshore resources.
Expected to participate on a need basis – In customer workshops from onsite/remote to understand customer needs & scope
Responsible to liaise with Subject matter expert(s) from delivery and/or the Market unit to define scope, estimate efforts, define a schedule within aggressive timelines
Strive to continuously improve the bid quality, resulting in less iterations and higher win rates
Build mutual trust, collaborating closely within the team to share knowledge & to leverage complementary skills
Flexible in your approach & quickly grasp new areas/service offerings in areas of Cloud technologies such as Business Technology Platform, AI, ML, Business Process Integration etc.
Available for 0-10% travel
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL SETS
10 years of total SAP consulting experience, including delivery and presales
Overall architecture and implementation methodology, good understanding of Cloud technologies, understands customer needs & crafts an appropriate SAP solution to solve the customer problem
Previous Bid management / Solutioning experience is highly desirable
Project management & leading teams is a plus
Strong customer focus, networking, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in international and virtual teams
Nice to have
SAP Certification in SAP Financials/Logistics/Technical solution areas
Experience with both on-prem and cloud SAP solutions and integrations thereof
Project Management certification
