PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES Converged Cloud team is responsible for building and operating the IAAS platform on par with Hyperscalers that SAP Lines of Businesses heavily depend on to serve their customers. We adapt, innovate and simplify to achieve “stability, speed and scalability in order to achieve SAP “gowth and margin” business objectives. To run highly scalable and secure IAAS platform and provide automation services to all lines of business across SAP, we leverage technologies from VMware, OpenStack and required management tools/processes on top. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Responsible for the server hardwre of the Converged Cloud and its lifecycle – Bulild, Operate and Decomission.
• Work with latest hardware models of our hardware partners (Lenovo, Dell, HPE, CISCO)
• Working with vendors to coordinate hardware break fix.
• Recommending new hardware BIOS, Firmware upgrade etc.
• Troubleshooting and debugging performance issues
• Working with Data Center Teams to coordinate the hardware component replacements.
• Work closely with the hardware vendors and the internal CCloud Platform team to perform in-depth RCA.
• Participate in Follow-the-sun support to provide on-call assistance for major outages and proactively address the issues reported by the monitoring tools.
• Testing hardware components individually and in tandem with external hardware vendor suppliers.
• Functional and performance tests in collaboration with cross functional Teams.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure developers provide support to fully automate the hardware deployment
• Identify gaps and Improve the hardware monitoring

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Ability to support multi vendor Hardware Types, like : Cisco, Dell, HPE, Lenovo
• Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and electrical systems.
• Excellent understanding of networking basics to support vendors , cross functional team in troubleshooting scenarios.
• Experienced to work on : Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)
• Experienced on multiple Operating System troubleshooting : VMWare vSphere, Linux, Windows
• Understading of virtual infrastructure including VMware vSphere/Cisco/EMC/Arista and other virtualization products
• Automation Know-How and programming skills – Python and Ansible will be a plus
• Ability to work in a distributed organization of highly motivated and qualified individuals
• Drive for and focus on results and execution
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels, including written and verbal
• Good Team player
• Experience working in large-scale datacenter/cloud/network environments
• B.E, B.Tech or M.C.A

WORK EXPERIENCE
5-7 years professional experience, out of which minimum 5 years in similar position
