The opportunity

At Sattva, our goal is to realize the impact on the ground and to drive a collective win by engaging with multiple stakeholders. Sattva’s Government Engagement (GE) team mainly engages with stakeholders from district, state, and central government as well as government bodies like the NITI Aayog, state CSR cells, and industry associations. The team’s operations are largely entrepreneurial in nature and require a high degree of innovation and agile decision-making.

We are looking for individuals who align with our mission of alleviating poverty in our lifetime and presently hiring individuals who can work with us in a short-term capacity, between 3 to 6 months, as per the requirements of the projects. Through these projects, you are expected to work with government body(ies) at multiple levels.

In addition, the following will be the key responsibilities:

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders including government officials to own and efficiently deliver on certain project tracks as aligned
• Work closely with Sattva leadership to bring in Sattva’s expertise for creating high-quality deliverables
• Work smoothly with peers and managers and is able to receive constructive feedback well
• Solving simple problems or parts of complex problems by having an understanding of the basic problem-solving framework
• Conducting rigorous secondary and primary research to arrive at the insights needed to solve the problem
• Creating reports, tools to inform the effectiveness of the project, on-ground efforts
• Deliver high-quality documents consistently and work with the team to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
• Support in the documentation of learnings and potentially the creation of reusable knowledge from the project
• Go beyond your own deliverables to support others in the team or the larger organization where required
• Support the operations of the project/ program, including managing logistics and coordinating with multiple teams

Key qualifications and experiences:

At Sattva, our goal is to realize the impact on the ground and to drive a collective win by engaging with multiple stakeholders. We are looking for individuals who align with our mission of alleviating poverty in our lifetime and have the following profile:

Essential:

• At least two years of professional experience in a role involving stakeholder and project delivery and management, preferably with the government
• Passionate towards engaging with governments for a larger systemic impact
• Strong problem solving, secondary research and data analysis skills, with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and strong interest in the impact sector
• A broad understanding of the government’s structures and bodies
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and develop innovative solutions to grow Sattva’s presence and business in the government ecosystem

Desirable:

• Experience in engaging with government stakeholders through past projects
• Track record of effectively enabling and maintaining government relationships

Salary: ₹1,000,000.00 – ₹1,200,000.00 per year
