Job Overview
An HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for aligning the company’s human resources strategy with the overall business objectives. The HRBP will act as a liaison between the company’s management and its employees and will be responsible for a variety of tasks including recruiting, training, employee relations, and compliance with labour laws. The HRBP should have a strong understanding of the SaaS industry, as well as experience with human resources management in India. Other key responsibilities may include:
Partnering with the leadership team to understand the company’s business objectives and develop HR strategies to support them.
Managing the recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing and hiring new employees
Providing guidance and support on employee relations issues, such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflicts
Ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws and regulations, and staying current on any changes or updates
Acting as a coach and mentor to managers and employees, providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR-related topics
Managing the performance review process and working with managers to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
Managing the budget for the HR department and controlling costs
Building a positive culture and work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
Skillset and experience required:
Strong knowledge of HR practices and laws in India, including knowledge of labour laws and regulations
10+ years of experience working with SaaS companies or in the technology industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with managers and employees.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address HR-related issues within the company.
Strong leadership and management skills to lead and manage teams within the HR department.
Experience with HR information systems and data analysis
Strong project management skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Experience in Employee relations and Talent Management.
It’s also important to note that an HRBP role will not only be limited to HR, but also to business management and strategy. Therefore, having a degree in business management and/or experience in a business strategy role would be an added advantage.
