Responsibilities:

• Backend Architecture and Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems to support our applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Utilize cutting-edge technologies and best practices to continuously improve and optimize the backend infrastructure.
• Technical Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and constructive feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between backend and frontend teams to ensure seamless integration of components and deliverables.
• DevOps and Deployment:
• Take charge of DevOps responsibilities, including automating deployment processes, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring smooth release cycles.
• Monitor and troubleshoot backend systems to identify and resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, and system failures promptly.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement best practices and security measures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against potential vulnerabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, security standards, and regulations to maintain compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, tool enhancements, and architectural improvements to enhance development productivity and product quality.
• Foster a culture of innovation and learning within the team by encouraging knowledge sharing and staying informed about emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in backend development, designing and building scalable, high-performance systems and APIs.
• Extensive proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• In-depth knowledge of backend frameworks and libraries.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a team of developers.
• Strong expertise in DevOps practices and tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms especially AWS
• Solid understanding of database systems, both relational and NoSQL.
• Experience with security best practices and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams effectively.
