Seva Sadan is a 113 year-old non-profit organisation based in Mumbai. We are registered as a Trust and run by an elected Managing Committee who work voluntarily. The services we offer include a Residential Home for underprivileged girls (ages 6 to 18), schools in Marathi and English medium.There is great diversity in the work we do and this is exciting for the person working in accounts. We are looking for a General Manager – AdministrationPurpose of the Role : To be responsible for smooth functioning of all the initiatives of the Trust and to oversee the smooth functioning of the officeFinal Accountability: The President Reporting: Chairperson of the respective sub-committeeAuthorities delegated: All Admin. staff to be accountable to the Manager – Administration, who will ensure that the staff report to him and carry out their relevant duties efficiently and meet all deadlines. The smooth and efficient running of the office administration will come under his direct authorityRole & Responsibilities: Office Administration and Staff ManagementTo be the one-point contact for the Managing Committee related to all matters of the SocietyTo create systems, implement rules, maintain accurate records, oversee filing systems and streamline the functioning of the office administrationTo be responsible for maintaining conducive work environment and communicate with the staff on behalf of the managing committeeTo extract accountability from admin. staffTo develop and coach people especially those who may be high potential talentTo play a key role in recruitment, motivation and retention of staffMaintain archives and facilitation with external agenciesHaving knowledge of and safe keeping of all of the Society’s archive of important documentsDigitizing the Society’s important archival recordsTo be responsible for managing key relationships with government, vendors, and contractorsRepairs and maintenance of the propertyProperty InsuranceAMCsOverseeing Housekeeping, SecurityEnglish / Marathi EducationFacilitate, oversee and ensure that all the Seva Sadan English and Marathi Schools and the Teachers’ Training College are functioning efficiently and imparting quality education.To ensure that these institutions enforce the rules laid down and do not take independent decisions without the knowledge of the ManagementTo maintain a close liaison with the Education Department (Maharashtra) and BMC and to understand and regularly keep the Management updated with all the Rules and Regulations applicable to our aided and unaided Schools.To ensure all statutory compliances are followedMalabari Hall / Hiring of spaces To train the existing staff for public relations and customer interfaceEnforce rules and regulationsMaintenance and timely repairs of the HallIn-charge of its overall operationsRepresentative of the SocietyTo best represent the Society at all timesTo carry out additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to timeJob Types: Full-time, Regular / PermanentSalary: ₹75,000.00 per monthEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:total work: 10 years (Required)Management: 10 years (Required)Work Remotely:No
