The Electrical CAD Technician is responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings utilized in manufacturing mechanical and electrical products, systems, sub-systems, and components. These detailed electrical technical models and drawings incorporate the input of Project Managers, Mechanical Engineers, and Mechanical Designers to verify dimensions, materials, and production methods.

Electrical CAD Technician’s assignments will consist of specific projects and normally includes instructions as to general electrical ratings, policies, and procedures. Still, the CAD Drafter is expected to follow technical decisions within the scope of these instructions. Work is reviewed by the Mechanical Engineer and Lead Engineer while in progress and upon completion.

Responsibilities

• The responsibility to maintain, edit and draw electrical schematics.
• Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets for our products.
• Verify specifications for drafting data, such as the configuration of parts and circuit diagrams.
• Develop detailed schematics and specifications for mechanical equipment, sheet metal design, and controls using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
• Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
• Modify and revise electrical prints to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of the basic principles, methods, and practices involved in the schematics design.
• General knowledge of AutoCAD industry-standard processes and procedures
• Knowledge of the terminology, methods, practices, and techniques of drafting
• Knowledge of the proper way of recording Bill of Material materials
• Ability to prepare complex CAD models and drawings from rough sketches, data, and oral instructions.
• Ability to understand and efficiently carry out complex written and oral instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company personnel.
• Considerable skill in designing and preparing CAD models, drawings, and specifications.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical with experience in electrical design and drafting of 2-9 years in a manufacturing firm.
• Be a Team player
• Good communication skills with the ability to speak in English
• The ability to review, update and produce an organized layout of our prints.
• At least one year of engineering-related experience in a business supporting heavy manufacturing.
• At least two years of experience with AutoCAD
• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Must be an energetic self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and capable of following tasks through to completion.
• Formal certificate / Training in CAD drafting and experience as a draftsman or technician, or any equivalent combination of training and experience, is a plus!
• Familiar with Schematic symbols for electrical, and mechanical systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹8,086.00 – ₹20,000.00 per month
