Distribution Operations play a key role in the Shell value chain and is a key enabler in the delivery of Shell’s fuel products to customers.
In this role, you will support 6 OSP Locations (existing 3 + upcoming 3) & six 3rd party gantry location. You will support the Supply Ops Manager in different GSAP related activities. Moreover, you will provide support to SOM in managing contract of additives and in price changes by supplier. Lastly, you will be in coordination with MHI team for timely closing of month end closing (MEC).
What’s the role?
As Stock Reconciler & Additive Replenisher, you will oversee planning for additive import and stock movement, monitoring the additive stocks for different supply locations and planning replenishment, reconciliation and record keeping of the fuel and additive stocks.
Further roles and responsibilities are:
Check stocks in GSAP per terminal on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, e.g. capture meter readings, special stock movements (i.e. storage gain and loss, downgrading, tank-to-tank movements) and physical tank stock figures. Ensure all movements are recorded appropriately in GSAP. Flag discrepancies in book vs physical stocks to the terminal immediately for investigation and resolution.
Check and reconcile all movements recorded in GSAP against product throughput per period. Perform meter and tank reconciliations per the hydrocarbon management policy (as applicable)
Support Terminal Operations Supervisors in conducting investigations on gains and losses exceeding threshold limits. Ensure investigations are conducted for items exceeding threshold and structural solutions to address issues are implemented. Ensure variances exceeding tolerance are escalated to the right level.
Ensure compliance to generation of End-of-Day reports and oil records are managed according to group guidance.
Support Supply Ops Lead to source additive stocks and manage the same at all locations required for smooth operations.
Support in additive batch management to ensure FIFO consumption of additives and coordinate with additive supplies for additive recertification where required.
Participate in contract Performance Review for Additive Distributors as contract user.
Support in GSAP system readiness and testing for new locations before commencement of operations.
Actively participate in planning of own work and contribute to development of team priorities, take personal accountability for delivery of outcomes, and understand impact to bottom line. Demonstrate care and inclusive and collaborative behaviors to drive sustained business performance.
Model generative HSSE culture behaviors. Demonstrate visible and felt safety leadership through measurable actions.
Understand safety and compliance risks in own activities and commit to acting safely and ethically.
What we need from you:
Preferably with bachelor’s degree in Engineering
At least 3 years of solid experience in terminal operations or supply chain management.
Proficiency in SAP Applications.
Willingness to be assigned in Bangalore and travel occasionally.
Experience in Hydrocarbon Management, Commercial Management, and Contract Management
