Role Overview

Siemens’ Energy and Performance Services (EPS) aims to run end-to-end Smart Sustainability Programs through right from

• baselining carbon footprint,
• benchmarking,
• product level carbon mapping,
• Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 assessment,
• industry assessment,

and developing a complete roadmap for our customers with a plan to implement solutions to help them reach carbon neutrality.

This position will be based out of NCR/ Mumbai Metropolitan Region focusing right from customer acquisition, understanding customer operations, understanding customer expectations, interacting with various functions and providing a complete Sustainability guidance in the form of report in line with statutory reporting, global standards, local standards, etc. to enable them take up Carbon Neutrality target, plan, etc and thus reducing their carbon footprint, reducing their cost, reducing their consumption and supporting the customer in his carbon neutrality goal achievement. The outcome of such activity would be naturally handing over to the sales team who would then be implementing the Smart Sustainability solutions.

Responsibilities

• Connecting and building relationship with existing and new customers or channel across hierarchy of the customer organization to create strong enquiry base.
• Understand the customer maturity and bring them on carbon neutrality roadmap convincing them by providing Consultancy to ensure that the customer is comfortable giving order to Siemens.
• Evaluating the project risks and opportunities,
• Establish clear expectations with the customer for the deliverables
• Preparing the sales calculation and offer letter,
• Coordination with stakeholders internally and externally.
• Extensive travelling to engage with the customer at various levels
• Developing industry wise database and keeping upto date on the latest changes/ and developments happening in Sustainability space (including the legislative changes)
• Participate in events, conduct workshops, etc to take customer feedbacks and meet new potential customers actively
• Conduct training sessions internally to spread the knowledge and to get leads easily from various sales colleagues.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

• Expert knowledge on Climate change, decarbonization, GHG emissions
• Understanding of relevant government legislation (national and international) on topics such as air pollution, waste and recycling, energy and natural resources.
• High level of enthusiasm to champion Sustainability across our businesses providing both expert input and guidance as the focus on this topic continues to rapidly develop.
• Having a strong research analyst experience to address any new challenge from the customer in his industry
• Strong communication skills, ability to present ideas to different stakeholder groups of the customer including the CXO level
• Ability to think strategically and keep up to date with the latest developments
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year university and Masters degree in Business Administration (preferred)
• 6-8 years’ experience in sustainability consulting in customer facing roles.
• Extreme ownership and ability to achieve results independently
• Strong communication skills and IT fluency
• Effective collaboration in networks across businesses, vendor partners and functions
• To demonstrate working attitude continuously by being business focus, pro-active, collaborative and with a goal to enable sales can close the deal.
• Ability to engage with customers at multiple levels.
• Domain knowledge in the fields of electrical concept, reading SLD and drawings, instrumentation, BOQ reading, costing, etc. High technical understanding of HVAC systems & equipment i.e., Chillers, AHU etc. Electrical distribution, M&V, controls, and automation.
• Good communication skills are vital in this role, as well as the confidence to ask questions and drill down for answers in environments where you may be unfamiliar with multi-culture operations or other staff.
• A logical mind is essential, as well as the ability to figure out not only theoretical solutions, but also the practical implementation and outcomes of those solutions in existing buildings/ infrastructure.

• Good interpersonal and presentation skills
