Job Description
Analyst, Accts Payable-India
The AP Specialist is responsible for the daily oversight and full-cycle support associated with Invoice Processing and expenses reimbursement /processing. Daily, this position will be responsible for processing Invoices and check requests received from internal and external stakeholders and service providers and onshore teams to ensure compliance with our SVB policy and procedures. This position will work closely with the Accounts Payable Onshore team and AP Manager to drive efficiency and cost savings through analytics, reporting, auditing and training. AP Specialist will assist in keeping all department functions and processes in line with standard accounting practices and internal controls. They will also work closely with other departments such as Compliance Fraud Team, Accounting to investigate reimbursement information, Accruals and assist in resolving disputes.
Majority of the AP Specialist time is spent in Processing Invoices and auditing /analyzing expense reports.
Essential Functions
- Review and Process Invoices while adhering to Company guidelines and Invoicing policies.
- Audit T&E/PCard reports electronically, comparing details and support to the PCard and T&E Policies.
- Perform Quality check for self-processed invoices to identify and fix errors if any.
- Audit all tagged Pcard and T&E reports to FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) identifying entertainment/gifts to a foreign official be reported adhering to the Anti Bribery Act.
- Compile analyze and Invoice and expense reimbursement data to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards and policies
Optional
- Resolve issues directly with Suppliers, employees and/or their managers related to non-compliant Invoices and expense reimbursement submissions.
- Review invoice types such as Sponsorship, Legal, Donation and Tax invoices to understand the prioritize the processing timelines to ensure the payments are made on time.
- Reviews all daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure timeliness of Invoice and expense processing as per Operation guidelines
- Support IT help desk operations by analyzing and resolving escalated back office issues related to T&E and PCard applications.
- Work with onshore teams on approvals to out of policy exceptions and report to Management.
- Train all new travelers or PCard users to ensure policy adherence. Works with the business to assist in card reconciliation when a card might be suspended or cancelled.
- Complete Month end accrual process
- Support all Month end Metrics regarding Invoicing, PCard and T&E Exception reports.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field of study and maybe considered as 5+ years overall experience
- 4 to 5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working with onshore U.S. teams in highly regulated arena with requirement of precise execution of activities
